Indeed, everybody wants to show it to those people whom they appreciate. But sometimes it may be hard for others to practice gratitude and show it. Some aren’t very expressive or they are just simply shy! What other ways can help one to show gratitude?

Ways of Practicing Gratitude in Daily Life

  • Gratitude Journal

One of the methods of practicing gratitude is to write. Start and end your day by listing down at least 3 to 5 things you are thankful for. If you are not into writing, challenge yourself to do it regularly. Multiple studies confirmed that this way of practicing gratitude is the most adequate.

  • Load A Jar

Put some paper in a jar that has a thought in it. You can accomplish it at least last day, weekly. You can put in the paper your views, or how grateful you are. You can fill that jar up until the end of the year. Lastly, read it and meditate on how good things happened and be thankful.

  • Messaging People

Sending short messages to the people that are close to you. In this way, you can show them how thankful you are to have them. It is important to tell them that you value each moment you spend with them. As a result, that expression of gratitude that you have towards them gets more impact.

  • Meditate

Studies say that meditation has a good effect on your brain. In addition, it helps you reduce the stress that you have. Taking a few minutes to meditate in a day is an ideal way to focus on the things that you’re thankful for.
