Covid-19 left all of us no choice but to stay at our house. People had no choice but to limit the activities that they can do outside their house due to said problem. Are you one of these people who feel so upset about limiting themselves from doing the things that they used to do?
If you do. Well, you’re not the only one who feels that way. The majority of us are.
On the brighter side of it, let’s make our stay more meaningful instead of letting our anxiety win. Here are 10 interesting DIY activities that you can easily do at home.
1. Create your DIY Welcome Cards
Everyone loves doing something artsy kinds of stuff and putting it in their rooms or some part of their house. In doing this, you can easily download on the internet printed materials or card templates on Crafty Lumberjacks. You can also share this activity with your friends and do the same activity virtually with them.
2. Create your DIY fingerprints
Things you need to prepare:
- 2 cups of flour
- 2 tablespoons of salt
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 3 cups of hot water
- food coloring
- recycled jars or containers for leftover paint
Here’s how to do it:
- Stir and mixed the flour, salt, cornstarch, and water.
- Separate the paint into various bowls.
- Add food coloring and then mix your colors.
- Store leftovers (if there are any) in separate containers. You can refrigerate for up to one week.
3. Create your own DIY Color Palette Napkin
Materials needed:
- chalk paint
- fabric medium
- small paintbrush
- clothes iron
Here’s how to do it:
- Following the directions of the fabric mediums’ label, mix the chalk paint with the fabric medium.
- Using the paintbrush, paint the colors on the table napkin with even spaces in-betweens.
- Let it dry.
- Iron the underside part of the napkin to help the paint dry.
4. Create your own Confetti Vase
Materials Needed:
- small glass vases
- opaque glass paint — 3 or 4 different colors
- elegant toothpicks (with a flat top)
- paper plate
Here’s how you do it:
- Clean the vase surface with alcohol.
- Choose your first color and apply some parts of the paper plate.
- Dip the end part of the toothpick into the paint. Then, start dotting from the bottom of the vase.
- Dry it for 10 minutes.

5. Create your own DIY Jar Perler Bead
Materials Needed:
- mini Perler beads
- funnel
- clear containers
- faux flowers or succulents
- skewer (optional)
Here’s how you do it:
- Fill up your empty containers with mini Perler Beads. If your containers have small holes use the funnel.
- Make the layers following your color preference. You can use the skewer if you want to blend the colors.
- You can now put your fake flower or succulent.
